Samsung has officially confirmed the launch date of the Galaxy F70 Pro after teasing the smartphone earlier this week. The upcoming F series device will make its debut in India on August 3 and will be sold through Flipkart as well as Samsung’s official online store.
The company has also revealed several key specifications ahead of the launch, giving buyers a clear picture of what to expect. Positioned in the midrange segment, the Galaxy F70 Pro combines a modern AMOLED display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, a large battery, and an extended software update policy that is uncommon in this price category.
Alongside the official confirmation, pricing details for all storage variants have also surfaced, offering an early look at Samsung’s strategy for the competitive Indian smartphone market.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 powers the Galaxy F70 Pro
At the heart of the Galaxy F70 Pro is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. Samsung says the phone will be available with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and as much as 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. This combination is expected to deliver faster app loading, smoother multitasking, and improved overall responsiveness compared to older memory and storage standards.
The smartphone will ship with One UI 8.5 based on Android, bringing Samsung’s latest software experience. One of the biggest highlights is the company’s promise of six years of operating system upgrades and security updates. Long term software support has traditionally been reserved for premium smartphones, making this commitment a notable addition in the midrange category.
Samsung has also confirmed that the Galaxy F70 Pro will include several AI powered features. While the company has not shared the complete list, these tools are expected to improve everyday tasks such as image editing, productivity, and smart search functions within the interface.
AMOLED display and large battery headline the hardware
The Galaxy F70 Pro features a Full HD Plus Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This combination should provide vibrant colours, deeper contrast, and smoother scrolling while browsing, gaming, or watching videos.
For durability, Samsung has equipped the display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus protection, offering improved resistance against scratches and accidental drops.
Battery life is another major highlight. The smartphone packs a 6000mAh battery, which should comfortably last through a full day of heavy use and potentially longer for moderate users. When it is time to recharge, the phone supports 45W fast charging, reducing the amount of time spent connected to the charger.
Samsung will offer the Galaxy F70 Pro in two colour options, Aura Green and Alpha Black, giving buyers a choice between a brighter finish and a more understated design.
Triple camera setup and India pricing revealed
For photography, the Galaxy F70 Pro includes a triple rear camera system led by a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation. OIS helps reduce blur caused by hand movement and can improve image quality in low light conditions.
Supporting the main camera is a 5MP ultrawide sensor for capturing wider scenes and a 2MP macro camera designed for close up photography. On the front, Samsung has confirmed the presence of an HDR capable selfie camera, although its resolution has not yet been disclosed.
Pricing has also been revealed ahead of the launch. The base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 25,999 (around $275). The mid tier model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will retail for Rs 29,999 (around $315), while the top end 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 34,999 (around $370). This gives buyers multiple storage options depending on their budget and usage requirements.
With a balance of modern hardware, extended software support, AI features, and competitive pricing, the Galaxy F70 Pro appears to target users looking for a dependable smartphone that can remain relevant for several years. The official launch on August 3 will reveal additional details, including complete specifications, availability, and launch offers.
