  • Netflix is no longer offering free trials, but you can watch select episodes on YouTube.
  • T-Mobile customers can get ad-supported Netflix for free through the “Netflix on Us” offer.
  • Verizon and Comcast offer discounted bundles including Netflix and other streaming services.

Netflix is the top choice for streaming, with 269.6 million paid subscribers worldwide as of early 2024.

Famous for its series like “Stranger Things,” “Bridgerton,” and “Wednesday,” plus hit films like “Nimona” and “Damsel,” it’s clear why Netflix leads the streaming industry.

Despite this popularity, Netflix doesn’t often offer deals or discounts. The company prefers methods like a lower-cost ad-supported plan and tighter control on password sharing to boost subscribers.

However, there are still ways to get Netflix for free or at a discount. Here are three methods to consider.

No More Free Trials

Unlike many other streaming services, Netflix no longer offers a free trial. They discontinued this option in the U.S. back in 2020 and don’t plan on bringing it back soon.

For a taste of Netflix’s top series, you can check out some full episodes on their YouTube channel. Shows like “Blue Eye Samurai,” “Explained,” and “Our Planet” have selected episodes available for free.

T-Mobile’s ‘Netflix on Us’ Offer

T-Mobile’s “Netflix on Us” deal has undergone changes. Previously, T-Mobile customers on pricier plans like Magenta Max enjoyed ad-free Netflix Standard plans. But since January 2024, T-Mobile downgraded all customers to Netflix’s ad-supported tier.

This means viewers have to watch unskippable ads, and some films aren’t available due to licensing restrictions.

Despite these limitations, free access to Netflix still lets you enjoy new seasons of popular shows like “Cobra Kai,” “Emily in Paris,” and “Bridgerton” without any cost.

Verizon’s Netflix + Max Bundle

Verizon offers a $10 monthly bundle through its myPlan service, combining ad-supported HBO Max and Netflix.

While not completely free, this bundle effectively gives you Netflix at no extra cost if you were already paying for HBO Max alone, which costs $9.99 per month.

Comcast ‘StreamSaver’ Bundle

In May 2024, Comcast introduced the “StreamSaver” package. This bundle includes Netflix, Peacock, and Apple TV Plus at a significantly reduced price, available only to Comcast broadband, TV, and mobile customers.

Existing Xfinity internet and TV customers can add this bundle for $15 per month, saving 30% compared to buying each service separately. Comcast Now TV customers can get the same deal for $30 per month.

Getting free or discounted Netflix isn’t easy, but these offers from T-Mobile, Verizon, and Comcast can help you save on streaming costs. Each deal has its own set of benefits and restrictions, so choose the one that best fits your needs.
