Oura’s Mind-Blowing New Feature Revealed! Discover Your Stress Superpower Now!

Smart ring maker Oura is introducing a fresh feature dubbed “Resilience,” aimed at gauging users’ ability to handle stress.

This new feature assesses resilience by considering factors like daytime stress levels and recovery patterns during both waking hours and sleep. Rather than assigning a numerical score, Oura categorizes resilience into five tiers: Limited, Adequate, Solid, Strong, and Exceptional.

In addition to tracking resilience, the Oura app will provide insights and tips to bolster users’ resilience levels. Furthermore, users can track the trend of their resilience over the course of a week.

In October, Oura unveiled the capability to monitor daytime stress alongside a mood journaling feature dubbed “Reflections.” According to the company, users typically experience around 96.5 minutes of stress each day. Interestingly, Fridays and Saturdays stand out as peak stress days, likely due to increased activity and indulgence in alcohol.

Beyond just measuring stress, Oura is actively involved in providing solutions to manage it. In December 2023, the company teamed up with meditation platform Headspace to offer 15-minute meditation sessions within the Oura app.

Meanwhile, Oura’s competitor, Ultrahuman, also offers recovery scores, but with a focus primarily on physical readiness rather than psychological resilience.

Responding to Samsung’s foray into the smart ring arena, Oura CEO Tom Hale emphasized that their product caters to a wide demographic range. He highlighted that since the company’s inception, they’ve strived to create a smart ring accessible to all, from Generation Z to Baby Boomers, spanning from athletes to individuals seeking better sleep and health management.

Last June, Oura introduced the “Circles” feature, enabling users to share their fitness data with friends and family, fostering a sense of community around health and wellness pursuits.
