In other words, the Pixel 9 offers most of what the Pixel 10 does, at a lower price, with nearly the same support window. That makes it a particularly strong option for anyone upgrading from a device that’s already two or three years old.

Google finds itself in an interesting position with the Pixel 10. The phone is undeniably good, polished, and competitive with anything else on the market. But the problem is not what the Pixel 10 does wrong, it’s that the Pixel 9 did almost everything right already.
Unless you’re coming from an older device or have specific needs that the Pixel 10 addresses, the better buy in 2025 may well be the Pixel 9 series, which combines flagship features with more attractive pricing.
