Just ahead of the long road to Grand Theft Auto 6, the publisher has launched the Cfx Marketplace, a new official storefront designed for buying and selling mods created for Grand Theft Auto V Online and Red Dead Redemption 2 Online.

The marketplace is now live, though access is limited. Only a selected group of approved creators can currently upload and sell content, while players are free to browse and download both free and paid mods.

It is a carefully controlled rollout, and one that signals a major cultural shift for a company that once treated modding as a legal and creative threat.

A curated storefront for FiveM and RedM creators

The Cfx Marketplace is positioned as a curated digital storefront, not an open mod dump. Rockstar describes it as a place where vetted FiveM and RedM creators can distribute high quality user generated content in a more formal, monetized environment.

Mods currently on offer include new maps, vehicles, characters, clothing, gameplay systems, scripts, and configurable features that significantly expand what is possible in GTA Online and Red Dead Online roleplay servers.

Creators are able to sell individual mods or package multiple projects together as bundles. Some listings have already attracted thousands of downloads, suggesting strong demand even in the early, limited access phase. While many mods remain free, the introduction of paid content marks a new chapter for Rockstar’s relationship with its community.
